Languages had existed as long as human walked amount the Earth. When a new language appears and spread, people will always create specific words that relate to the gender in that new language. Some of these words are offensive to the gender. If one will look at all the languages around the world, he or she will always find some words that are offensive toward one of the sex. Thus, this is one of the causes for gender conflict.
In English, one will probably be familiar to the word, whore. This word points straight at one of the sex and offer a verbal put-down. The word, whore, means a woman who engages in promiscuous sexual intercourse, usually for money. So when a woman who has been called a whore, usually means that she is prostitute and have slept will a man for something valuable. The meaning of the word has changed a lot these days. The woman who is referring as a whore is usually who she just slept with lot men, not for money or any thing that is valuable. The word also refer to fashion, when a female dress in a way that expose too much skin, people might say that she dress like a whore. Either way, this word is offensive to women.
There is still lot words used in the gender conflict. Some are offensive to men, and some that is offensive to women. The word whore was created specially against women. People use this word improperly. They use the word as a metaphor, not by its definition. Thus they added this word in the gender conflict.
