Zhuge Lian
Zhuge Lian, one of the most renowned strategist of the three kingdoms era. The author of novel Romance of the Three Kingdom treat him like a god in that book. He wrote the whole book around Zhuge Lian. How Liu Bei have to begs Zhuge Lian three times before Zhuge Lian finally agreed to became the strategist for the Shu Kingdom. How Zhuge Lian uses the Empty Castle Tactic to scare his rival, Sima Yi, away. How he died and turn into to ghost and scare Sima Yi for the second time during Zhuge Lian's last battle. However, some parts about Zhuge Lian in the novel was all made up to boost up his popularity. The real Zhuge Lian was more a great politician than a strategist. Yes, he come up some good tactic, but it is not effective as his political decision he made for Shu. He's political influence in Shu was so powerful that even the Liu Bei fear him before he died. Liu Bei fear that Zhuge Lian will use his political influence to take control of Shu from Liu Bei's son after Liu Bei died. So Liu Bei give a position of grand minster to Zhuge Lian, the second most power position, right after king to Zhuge Lian to keep Zhuge Lian. So in the true story behind three kingdoms, Zhuge Lian was more a politician than a strategist.

4- In classrooms, you are asked to assume positions that are not just intellectual but also physical and spatial, even discursive (in the sense that classrooms position when and how you speak and write). How do classrooms position you? How would you like to position yourself?
Position
You are a normal college student. One day, your class is having a discussion over the new topic the teacher just tough. The discussion went on for over a half hour, suddenly, a hand just raised and a new voice joins in the discussion. You might felt quite shock, because you didn’t notice that this new kid exist in the classroom. Nobody notice this student existence during the discussion. He came out of no where. Well that student might be me in your classroom.
I admitted that I am not very talkative person. I barely talked in any of my class unless I had a very important question. So you can say that I am quiet listener. You might not know that I am there, but I will be there listening to the whole discussion. I kind like a historian, I might not be involved with the discussion, but I know exactly what happened during the discussion. I will ask questions that what I thought might be important to the discussion but not very often.
I want to be more involved in the discussion, not just a historian that set out side of discussion and record event happening. I want to be one of the people that are in the discussion, that a person who just appears out of no where and disappear after fifteen seconds. I am trying to change my unwillingly to join the discussion until I have a must asked question little by little. It is a hard road ahead, especially since this trait in marked into your personality, but I know that it have to be change if I want to success in college and the real world.

Cao Cao
History tells that Cao Cao was a curial leader. In the novel Romance of Three Kingdoms tells he slaughter over thousand innocent peasants at Chang Bang when he was chasing and trying to kill Liu Bei. How can some one curial like him become one of most powerful warlord in the Three Kingdom era. The true is Cao Cao is a brilliant leader, he knows when to make the best decision. He is not curial, he forgive the man who kill his son and one of his best officer. This decision earn him a victory against Yuan Shao and gain diminutions over northern China. I think that the novel is inaccurate, this book is based on the Kingdom of Shu not Wei. So that is why they portrayed Cao Cao as a merciless leader.

9- In many of your prior courses, whether in college, whether in college or in high school, you were working on two fronts at once: learning the material in the course ("what" is covered) even as you were learning the methods of working in that field ("how" things are done). Discuss the competing demands of learning both content and method by using a concrete example from your own experience at UIUC.
What V.S. How
In the learning process possess by human. The concept of learning the material and the concept of how to learn it are very important. These two concepts goes side by side, where one needed to possess both of them in order become a great learner. There is no overshadow of these two learning process on each other. One simply could not learn with the lack of one of the two concepts.
The “What” concept, or the material that one is learning, state the importance of the material the he or she is learning. Without the concept, one wills not the reason why he needs the material. Why the material is necessary for the daily life of his or how he going to apply it. It is like learning history event and does not know why it occurs and why it is important. It is like you just cram all that information into you brain before the test and forget all of it after the test. It is all pointless in the end, since you have no ideas what you just learned.

In history class, how one learns the event of history and applies to current society so that the history doesn’t repeats itself again. Another example is how inventor use all the materials learned for school and created something new based on those materials. Looking Forward to.....
What I like to do for the next few week of Rhet class is a little bit of grammar, I know that we are did some already, but just a little bit more. Second thing that I will like to do is read more essay about oppressor language, banking concept, or essay that is similar to the essay that we are writing about. I want to know more about the argument of language, teaching method and student's writing like the one in "Inventing the University".

6- The writing and reading you did in high school and the writing and reading you do now in college carry with them certain assumptions about why literacy is important. What values or purposes lie behind your literate activities?
Writing
I think that all the reading and writhing we did in high school and the reading and writhing we do in college are very important, since they help us get prepare once we are in the real world. Once we are in the real world, we will probably be writing every day, no matter if it is an e-mail that you write to the customer or stock market analytic summary that you are doing for your job. The main goal of the reading and writing we done in high school and college is to helps us get familiarize with the reading and writhing we will do for our jobs. For example, the business class we take in college will teach us how to writing business memo and to read the finance section of the newspaper.
My purposes behind my literate activities are to get familiarized with English. Because English wasn’t my first language, so I been doing a lot of reading and writhing to get more use to this language so I won’t struggle in the English and other class. I known that having a good writing and reading skill will help in the long run.

Why couldn't we remember most of our dream and remembered only few of the dream you had before? Of the few dream you remember, why do you able to remember these selective dream? How was you able to see picture in your mind when you dreams? Do we dream every single night? Is the dream in color or black and white? Is dream truly that important in your life? YOU THINK ABOUT IT!

3. Recall the experience of some newcomer trying to enter your community or trying to appropriate and use your own language. How did you feel or react? What does it mean to “own” language, and what is entailed in “taking” or adopting” a language or a set of rituals and traditions? Recall an experience when some misunderstanding occurred in a bi-cultural or multicultural context despite everyone trying to be well intentioned and polite. In a journal entry, explore what it was about the social context failed “in translation.”
My Language
When people asked me what it means to have you own language. I will always answer it is how you thinks and talk about certain subject. The kinds of vocabulary are you using when you talk. To me, language can measure a person education skill and the culture of that person. A person with a high education will talk a different language than person with a lower education; it goes the same for a person’s culture. So the language can define the person.
A person goes to new community that has with different language and culture than that person. The person needs to learn and adopt the language of the community. If not, he or she will not able to adjust into the community and left out. During my freshmen year, there was a newcomer kid that transfer into our class. He tries to join my group of friends but was not successful, because we have a hard time understood each other and we have few things in common. He uses vocabularies that have different meaning in his and my language. After few weeks, he could not adopt the language in our group, so we end up been complete stranger in the end.
Language is important in that community. It can help or break a newcomer. A person who has different language than the community can be rejected by that very community. A person needs to adopt the language in he or she wants to be accept into the community, because the language define the person and the community. Like David Berreby said in his essay “It Takes a Tribe”. People don’t just go and live in some place; they join the tribe in that place. They learn the rules (language) of the tribe.
